Morning all: This was one of those ideas that came to me and if I didn't just make it, well I would forget my idea. I thought is would be fun to make a santa's bag out of some Tim Holtz material, added a few toys and presents. I wanted him to look as if he was going down the chimney. I'm going to enter this in The Artistic Stampers December Challengehttp://www.theartisticstampercreativeteam.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/december-challenge-anything-goes.html ) Thanks for looking hope you like it

Happy Holiday Everyone: Todays post is for the november Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013. I know a little last minute. This months technique is using chalk. yep the kind you use on the one at school. totally fun. Another part of the tag Tim did was layering. This is made simple with the use of the framelit/stamp sets. They let you die cut out the pieces perfectly. So for my entry I used the Snowman blueprint framelit/stamp set. I also used the Holly layering stencil from Stampers anonymous, three distress markers- Gathered twigs, Peeled Paint, and Festive berry. . I layered my snowman tag on a lager tag where I used embossing paste with the Holly layering tag. Thanks so much

Fall

Hi Everyone: I truly can't wait for fall. It is my absolute favorite time of year. so I got out some of my dies and started playing. All the dies are sizzix alteration dies. Except for the tag; thats a sizzix/prima die. The tag I got from Michaels dollar section. The tag already had the design on the bottom so I lined it up to use that as well. I'm going to enter it in the Simon says wednesday challenge blog. (http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesday challenge ) Emboss it is the theme this week. I also think I'm going to enter it at The Artistic Stamper blog for their september challenge - Autumn. Thanks for looking!!

Embossing paste Sept. entry

Hi Everyone: This month Tim Holtz introduced me to embossing paste. This stuff is fun and easy to use. So for this tag I used the embossing paste with Stampers anonymous stencils (splatters, Burlap, and Dot Fade) cleaned off the stencils right away because the lovely paste dries quickly. once that dried I added probably my favorite distress product, distress stain. (shaded lilac, wild honey, and salty ocean). waited again. and took the Dot fade stencil and placed it over my tag and added ripe persimmon ink. I also used the butterfly from Stampers Anonymous set Fairytale Frenzi. Idea-olgy_ type charm and pen nib. I edged my tag with ripe persimmon. I so look forward to these monthly tags!! Hope you like it.

August Tag

Hi Everyone: Heres the tag I'm entering in the Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2013.
Products: Halloween Blue Print 2 stamp set from Stampers Anonymous, Ranger Distressed Markers and Distressed Ink. Spice Marmalade, Vintage Photo, Mustard seed, Peeled Paint, and Black Soot. an Idea-ology pin, metal tag (used gold Alcohol ink), rub-ons, and brad with jump ring. Tag is huge 8 inches by 4 inches) For this tag I used the masking technique that Tim Holtz used on his blog. I first stamped the Raven and masked it. Then stamped the pumpkin's and masked them also. Then I stamped the Wheat. colored in the pumpkins with spiced marmalade and inked them also with spiced marmalade. I inked the tag with antique linen, mustard seed, vintage photo, peeled paint, spiced marmalade. thanks for looking Chary

Chemist Tag

Hi Again: I'm just a little post happy today. I started playing with my new Stampers Anonymous stamps. I love this set (The Chemist CMS172) So I had to upload up what I made. The August tag for Tim Holtz's blog this month is about vacation travel. He uses a masking technique where he makes a mask from a mask sheet of the focal point stamp. The cool part is I can use it over and over again. The funny part is I wasn't going to get this set. so besides the mask sheets, and The Chemist stamps I used distress stains: wild honey, antique linen, vintage photo, and peeled paint. Some Tim Holtz rub ons, a couple Idea-ology charms, light bulb and wings. I stamped in ranger's black archival ink, and used my new stencils (Splatters THS009). I love the stencils. Favorite new product!! Hope you like it.

Dylusions at Stamp Asylum

Hello again: Last month I was lucky to take a class from Dyan Reaveley the designer of Dylusions at my local stamp store Stamp Asylum in Plano. The class was so fun. I learned some great techniques and different ways of looking at ordinary magazines. I also found a way to use the huge magazine stash I have in my office. (Years and years worth). below is a Picture of Dyan with me but I so didn't like my picture. some board samples and my own creations. Thanks for looking
Hi Everyone: In the post below is a pocket mini album I made after watching a Youtube tutorial on the My Sisters Scrapper Channel http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuSLCMH4NBu0wUKEzD6Jw3w Ginger is very detailed in her instructions and super organized. She made it fun and easy to learn. Yes there was math involved and you had to know how to use a ruler (paper cutter and scoreboard also). I think any house with a child in school should have a score board, because they are great for school projects. And since we the parents end up helping a lot it a great tool to have. This mini album is a present for one of my sister in-laws. I'm only a month late. which for me is not unusual. Hope you like it. Chary

I posted too soon.

Hi Everyone:

So made a huge mistake.  I didn't read the rules for the Simon Says Challenge.  My Rusty hat tag  I had posted before I was supposed to for this challenge.  Since I not real good a giving up I made a new tag.
Wish me luck.  The theme is Pin it.   So I used this Prima doll stamp which I love.  Tim holtz paper, and stickers.  I also used his Idea-ology pin.  Last but not least I used  a Stampers Anonymous stamp for the background from the Paris Memoirs collection.  Heres the website for the challenge. website.http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com.au/2013/07/simon-says-pin-it.html.  I decided to enter her in the Ladies Day challenge at The Artistic Stamper also-  here's their site-http://www.theartisticstampercreativeteam.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/july-challenge-ladies-day.html
Thanks for looking!!!

Butterfly Summer

Hi:  This is my July entry to Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2013.

I used the brayer method. He taught us in the tutorial.  used distress on 2 alterations dies ( mini butterfly's and Bird Branch) distress stains- wild honey, picked raspberry, mustard seed, and just a little peeled paint.  An Idea-ology quote plate and stampers anonymous clock stamp. Thanks for dropping by.

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Just made this 4th of July tag.   I used Distress ink- Faded Jeans, Distress stain- Festive Berries, Distress Paint- Picket fence.  I used an Idea-ology mirror sheet to create the star with Tim Holtz's Bright Star 3-D die.  On both the tag and the star i used the Riveted Metal texture fade.  I have an Idea-ology clip holding the sweet land of Liberty card. The assorted ribbons I got at a cute stamp store in Plano Texas called Stamp Asylum.  The only thing I will say is don't even bother taking the paper of the mirror sticker sheet because you glue down the stars flap anyway and once you run it through the die it is in little pieces and becomes a time waster to peal if off.  Also until youve finished shaping the star and have placed it on the tag leave the film on the front of the mirror to cut down the fingerprints.  Thanks for looking

Monday, June 24, 2013

I love to create.  This is a mini album cover that I created to enter in the Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 contest for June.  I used Distress pens, Stamper Anonymous stamps, distress ink, distress paint, distress stain, Idea-ology gears, and charms.  I love how you can add water to the distress pens and they act just like water color paint.  Now the only problem is completing the album.
